ROYAL ENFIELD OPEN WEEKEND at the Watsonian-Squire sidecar factory in the scenic Cotswolds, there is plenty to see and do at this relaxed event, with the added attraction of free entry and parking. Awards will be given for the best bike ridden to the event on each day and all makes and models are welcome to enter. The full 2009 model range will be on show. There will also be opportunities to test ride the new fuel-injected unit construction Classic and Electra models, accompanied by IAM instructors – places on a first come first served basis. BANBURY RUN. Starts at the Heritage Motor Centre at Gaydon. The premier event for the VMCC and only pre-1931 machines are eligible to take part. This unique event celebrates its 61st anniversary this year and the bikes will be flagged away on their ride at 10am. The 'Banbury' also hosts a fine autojumble with more than 100 stalls offering a selection of spares and parts for vintage and classic motorcycles of all ages. BARNSLEY MOTORCYCLE FESTIVAL aka 'The show with go!' Takes place at the race circuit in Wombwell, Barnsley, South Yorkshire. Not only do entrants get to show off their bikes in a static display, with the chance to win a trophy, but they can also ride their motorcycle round the private track. Just across the road from The Craven Collection with over 250 classic and vintage bikes. All proceeds from food, drink and entrance fee to the Craven Collection will be donated to the chosen charities. Ride-in from Dean's Garden Centre, Scarborough at 6.30pm – led by Kilham Wednesday Night Bikers – to Dean's at Stockton on the Forest for a fun night out. All bikers welcome, whatever you ride. 3RD ANNUAL AINTREE SPRINT. Held at the prestigious home of the Grand National, and on part of the old Grand Prix circuit on the famous Aintree Racecourse. Displays of old and new machines, classic bikes, racers, superbikes, cruisers, military motorcycles and much more. Autojumble section for those parts hard to find. be cold and all the fantastic bikes will be on show again along with
trade stands. Live band, Gin House. All proceeds go to LIVES and
local First Responders' teams.
