As a younger man I spent several years on two wheels – as it were – and as a 47-year-old that has just bought his first bike for over 20 years I feel compelled to write to you about an incident that happened a few years ago.

Dear MCM... Chris Brown’s letter in January’s edition struck a chord with me. Like Chris I too started riding at 16 years old. I am now 71 (about 25 in my head). I too had a long lay-off, 26 years in my case, but like Chris, never lost the interest.
