Aspire to help bikers
By: Web Editor
Aspire, the national spinal cord injury charity, along with Knobblies, GB Riders and EuroK Motorcycle clubs are holding a D-Day rideout to raise vital funds.
The rideout will take place on 12 and 13 June with around 200 bikers and their bikes on the Eurotunnel as they make their way to Le Touquet to commemorate the D-Day landing. The rideout is open to all bikers, from the scooterist to the classic cruiser. “Everyone is really excited about the Rideout,” said Chris Field, head of fundraising and marketing at Aspire. “This is an amazing opportunity and with the support of Eurotunnel and projects such as BikeSafe, we are seeing it all become a reality. It is set to be a wonderful event and we are hoping it will raise around £25,000 to help those with spinal cord injuries,” Chris concluded.
To get involved, sign up for the ride at www.aspire.org.uk/bikers or email bikers@aspire.org.uk. It costs £55 per bike (£75 for a trike).
