Last night saw thousands of bikers attend the annual Boston Bike Night, the biggest bike night in South Lincolnshire.

Boston Bike Night is a huge success

Held on the first Thursday in July every year, the 2010 festivities kicked off at around 6pm, with bikers from across the country riding there to take part.

Held in the Wide Bargate area of the town, the main drag was filled with bikes and trikes of every type, from Fizzies to Slabsides and everything in between.

Bikers enjoyed live bands playing in the square, wandered around the many trade and food stalls available and chatted to other riders about their bikes. Many people use the Bike Night to meet up every year for a catch-up, whilst for many it was their first time attending. Many local townspeople were also there, enjoying the atmosphere and taking the chance to look at so many bikes in one place.
More than 3000 bikers filled Boston in 2009, and thanks to the balmy weather, this year looks set to exceed that number.

The evening is organised each year by Boston Motorcycle Riders Association (BMRA) for riders and anyone else interested in coming along to enjoy the night.
Publicity spokesman David Simpson said: "The event appeals to people of all ages and backgrounds. It's a huge social occasion and people are interested by the spectacle of all the different bikes and riders."

What do you think of the new breed of cheaper, more economical bikes? (e.g. Honda's CB500)

Great - we need more affordable everyday bikes
I don't ride a bike to care about mpg
I prefer a bike with more power and kerb appeal
Would like to see all manufacturers with bigger capacity machines under £5k
There should be more development going into much higher mpg machines - 200mpg+ please!
