Clothes show
By: Web Editor
Dear MCM...I have just renewed my yearly subscription to your newspaper which is really good value for money.
I recently bought another bike paper for the first time in a while and was disappointed with its content compared with MCM, which in my opinion is a far superior read, so please keep up the good work.
A point I would like to raise is this – when bikes are being tested would it not look better if the rider being photographed wore clothing which went with the bike? For example, I have seen cruisers being tested with riders in sports bike gear, which to me totally spoils the pictures. I don’t know if anyone else feels the same or am I being picky?
Gary Hesom,

Hi Gary, glad you enjoy the paper. Yes, you’re right – some publications test bikes in full-on one-piece race leathers, whether they’re adventure, commuter or cruiser type machines. Here at MCM we do our best to test bikes in ‘appropriate’ clothing, but depending on the weather, sometimes have to test 125s or cruisers in full textiles for example. Hopefully we get it right more than we get it ‘wrong!’ Ed.
