Over the weekend of 4th and 5th September, the Festival is playing host to 20 car clubs from all over the UK, including the Audi Quattro Owners Club (UK) and their collection of stunning Quattros from the 1980s. It is a special year for both the Museum and the Audi Owners Club as both celebrate their respective 30th anniversaries in October this year.

On Saturday 4th September the Festival kick-starts with up to 70 entrants’ vehicles on display in Millennium Place – right in front of the museum entrance, throughout the day. This is followed by a Civic Reception and 3 course Dinner on the Saturday evening with the Lord Mayor of Coventry and special guest speaker - TV Motoring Expert Jason Dawe starting at 7pm. Tickets to the Reception and Dinner are £25 and are available from the Museum by telephoning 02476 234270.

On Sunday 5th September over 500 vehicles – cars, motorcycles and buses will be leaving Coventry’s War Memorial Park at 10.30am to go on a 40 or 60 mile run through Coventry and Warwickshire. The cavalcade will take in Kenilworth, Brandon, Fillongley, Balsall Common, Baginton, Berkswell, Meriden, Ryton, Wolston and Arbury Hall in Nuneaton.

Whilst the run is taking place there will be plenty of things to see and do at the park including the Mega Mini Stunt Team, the Imps Motorcycle Display Team – a team of young daredevils performing their amazing stunts on motorcycles, the Land Rover 4x4 experience, over 20 car club stands, a craft fair and marketplace.

The Jaguar Brass Band make their welcome return to the park for musical entertainment, for the kids we have circus Skills workshops, face painting and fun fair rides.

The cavalcade will start to return to the park from 1pm, where they will all park up for the afternoon to give the visiting audience of over 10,000 a great opportunity to chat with the owners and take lots of photos. There’ll be a prize giving ceremony starting at around 4pm with seven trophies to be awarded including Best in Show, Best Costume or Fancy Dress, Furthest Driven to the Festival, and People’s Choice.
