More bad news as the weather claims another victim, this time it's the Taverners section of the VMCC and the venue is the Founders Day event at Stanford Hall, Leicestershire, which was scheduled to take place next Sunday, July 22

Founders Day cancellation

Stanford Hall event cancelled due to rain...

Following an assessment at of the Stanford Hall grounds, which, as the picture shows, are severely waterlogged, the organisers felt it prudent to cancel next Sunday's Founder's Day event and re-schedule it for September 2. The organisers apologise for any inconvenience caused.

This year's theme is military machines and the event is set in the beautiful grounds of Stanford Hall, close to Lutterworth in Leicestershire, just a few minutes off Junction 20 of the M1 motorway. Fingers crossed for some good weather in September...

This folows the recent announcement from the Sammy Miller Museum of the cancellation of Italian Day, also scheduled for July 22.

What do you think of the new breed of cheaper, more economical bikes? (e.g. Honda's CB500)

Great - we need more affordable everyday bikes
I don't ride a bike to care about mpg
I prefer a bike with more power and kerb appeal
Would like to see all manufacturers with bigger capacity machines under £5k
There should be more development going into much higher mpg machines - 200mpg+ please!
