Meet the bikes that could save motorcycling
Yep, that's right: here at MCM we've put three of the best of the all-round middleweight 'tourers' that are fast, fun and sip juice up against each other but out of the Kawasaki Versys, Suzuki V-Strom and BMW F650GS, which one came out on top? Turn to page 8 of this month's issue to find out.

We've also tested Honda's new dual clutch transmission technology on their flagship VFR1200F - see page 12 for our verdict.

On the used metal front, we've taken a look at Triumph's Speed Four on page 32. Undervalued and underrated, this is now a proper bargain. Who needs three cylinders?

We've also hit the off-road trails in Spain for a fantastic four days worth of relaxed riding on page 34, and have entered the National Hill Climb Championship on two very different bikes - see how we fared on page 38. We've never had so much fun on cold tyres!

On a more serious note, the helmet special starting on page 14 highlights what you need to know in terms of your lid and the law, what kind of testing helmets go through and how to get a correctly sized / fitting one.

And of course, there's loads more in the issue: don't forget to check out all the latest news, and have a look at the rest of our action-packed features and get commenting on them. Visit our letters page and add your own: one star letter each month wins a £50 biking goodies card, courtesy of Infinity Motorcycles. On the subject of free stuff, there is a money can't buy competition to win two BSB VIP  passes to the Silverstone round, plus £100 worth of R&G Racing for your bike on pg20, plus a set of brand new 2010 Metzeler Sportec M5 Interact tyres on pg54, plus two free adventure travel DVDs by renowned motorcycle explorer Nick Sanders on pg26.

Also, if you're looking for a new bike or want to sell your own, take a look at a selection of our free bike classified adverts.

And don't forget, if you've got any news, events or ideas you think we might like to feature in MCM, just drop us a line here. We want to hear from you!
