Riding to work has never been so easy

It's national Ride to Work Day on 2 June this year, so here at MCM we thought we'd conduct a little experiment with lots of different bikes and one car. In part one of our test, it's the often overlooked but comfy, cheap, economical and fun to ride BMW F800ST which is winning - read all about it on page 14.

Riding to work has never been so easy

What do ou get if you take one WSB-winning bike, strip it down and put wide bars on it? Aprilia's new Tuono V4R, that's what. Barking mad, but oh so fun. And believe it or not, an absolute blast on the roads - go to page 10 to have a look.

Moto Guzzi have launched their third incarnation of their adventure-styled Stelvio and big touring Norge, and there are seriously good (on page 18).  Watch out BMW...

Ever fancied a professional workshop where you can maintain your bike safely and learn new skills at the same time? Step forward the Oval Motorcycle Centre in London, on page 24.

It may be TT time again, but how about becoming a TT marshal and getting closer to the action than anybody else bar the racers? Find out how on page 28.

On the off-road front, read about how 12 ladies tried their hand at speedway for the first time on page 32.

Plus we've got the a full tyre review on the popular Metzeler Interact range, fantastic pictures from the first ever Prescott Bike Festival and an interview with rising BSB star John 'Hopper' Hopkins from the last round at Croft.

We've also got a brand new Really Useful Section, packed full of everything you need to know when buying a used bike, starting on page 37.

And of course, there's loads more in the issue: don't forget to check out all the latest news, and have a look at the rest of our action-packed features and get commenting on them. Visit our letters page and add your own: one star letter each month wins a V2MAL Essentials Touring Pack worth over £40. On the subject of free stuff, there is a fantastic competition for five lucky readers to win a pair of Dunlop SportSmart tyres on page 36, a pair of new Pirelli Diablo Rosso IIs on page 34 and 10 pairs of tickets to the upcoming Festival of 1000 Bikes at Mallory Park on page three. Also, if you're looking for a new bike or want to sell your own, take a look at a selection of our free bike classified adverts.

And don't forget, if you've got any news, events or ideas you think we might like to feature in MCM, just drop us a line here. We want to hear from you!
