Autumn is here folks and it’s time to protect yourselves and your bikes, so here are ten products worth owning. Go on treat yourselves!

Ten of the Best - Autumn Goodies

Sdoc 100 Corrosion Protectant

1. Sdoc 100 Corrosion Protectant: RRP £11.26

Sdoc100 Corrosion Protectant, shields all metal parts against salt and water damage and (if used regularly) can stop existing corrosion in its tracks. Simply spray SDoc100 onto the target area and it forms a transparent, protective, ‘self healing’ film – which re-closes immediately after being touched. It also lubricates and displaces moisture. There are loads of other great bike goodies in the Sdoc range so visit their website.

2. EDZ Merino wool top: RRP £40

I’ve been wearing an EDZ merino wool base layer all year and it’s the one thing I never leave home without. It’s light, warm and easy to scrunch up in a rucksack or under the seat. Ideal for those early morning rides or when you’ll be coming home after dark when the temperature drops. The only problem I have is trying to find it after it’s been washed, it gets lost in my drawer or the ironing pile because it’s a bit too plain, so a brighter EDZ logo would be good.

3. Cold Killers Sport Top: RRP £54.99

We’re fans of Cold Killers at UBG. Made from Softshell material, for a close comfortable fit, this top is thin and light so it can be worn under leather or textiles. Cold Killers produce a wide range of products, including fleece tops (to wear over leather suits), balaclavas, neck tubes, gloves and socks.

It comes with a free wall mount and choice of two connections (12v connection available separately too). It also has an LCD screen to give you all the info you need on battery condition and charge status. Simply plug it in and it’ll take care of things for you.

6. Spada Elite WP gloves: RRP £69.99

New from British brand Spada are these waterproof leather Elite gloves, I’ve just worn them on a 200 mile ride through nonstop torrential rain and can’t praise them highly enough. Although the leather had soaked water into the gloves my hands were warm and dry for the whole ride. The wind and waterproof inner membrane is breathable to stop your hands sweating and the gloves don’t feel too thick, so you can still feel what’s going on. They come in sizes from XS-XXL, in various colours and they look stylish too.
