Triumph has confirmed that their two new mid-sized adventure bikes will feature a long-stroke three-cylinder powerplant.

Triumph confirm new triple engine for adventure bikes

In the second teaser video to be released on www.triumphadventure.com, the voiceover says: “An adventure bike needs torque. You need an engine that’s refined and smooth when you’re on-road. The new Triumph three-cylinder engine is perfectly balanced and has plenty of punch with an exciting top end. But because you could also be dealing with gravel or a dirt track, you need an engine with plenty of torque that does the business off-road. The new Triumph three-cylinder engine has compact dimensions and a controllable power delivery that’s the hallmark of a long-stroke Triple.”

The third video is set to be released on 1 Sept and will contain details on the chassis.
