THE latest addition to the Victory stable is the new Hard-Ball, based on its current High-Ball bike. Billed by Victory as “The bad ass bike that rejects labels”, this unconventional bagger shares the same 1731cc, 50º six-speed fuel injected V-twin motor with the High-Ball, as well as two-way height adjustable apehangers and spoked wheels.

The Hard-Ball weighs in at 340kg dry compared to 293kg dry for the High-Ball, and has also got a higher 667mm seat (640mm for the High-Ball).

Other changes are the locking hard panniers that give the Hard-Ball touring ability, plus the small pillion perch and footpegs. There’s a split dual exhaust, longer rear fender and the tank capacity is now 22 litres. Riders also get ABS as standard.

A confirmed UK price had yet to be announced as we went to press, but expect it to be somewhere around the £16,000 mark. The Hard-Ball is expected in dealers in late February 2012.
